What's in a Revel?

What’s in a van? Well, it depends. If you've identified your Winnebago Revel generation, then you may be wondering what that means for the stock build of your van.

Not sure about your Revel generation? Start with this blog post. Hint: just a glance at your Revel control panel behind the bench seat is all it takes.

The generation of your Revel refers to the house and associated living systems. With generational updates, Winnebago makes changes to those systems. Here are some of the big differences:

Depending on the Sprinter chassis year, there are noteworthy differences. Remember, Mercedes manufactures the Sprinter van, which includes the exterior, engine and mechanical components related to driving the van. Changes with the chassis don't necessarily correlate with changes to the Revel build.

It is common (and so much fun) to level up your van with after-market upgrades. That's where upfitters like RoamRig come into the picture. From small changes like solar panel mounts that won't rust to full power system overhauls, we have many options for improving your Revel.

With a RoamRig power system installation, everything related to the Revel house power system gets an enormous upgrade. All generations of RoamRig Revels include:

  • Upgraded control panel with labeled switches
  • Kisea 3000w inverter with 100A shore power
  • Kisea 750w MPPT charge controller with 740w DC-DC charging
  • Victron BMV-712 smart battery monitor and bluetooth app

Depending on your generation of Revel, we have different options for battery capacity upgrades. Check out our power upgrade pages for 1st gen, 2nd gen and 3rd gen power systems for an overview of what we can do for your van.
